i just want to know if you know anything about music theory? serious question, because there is this one note that sounds out of key and does not sound so great. read up on key signatures and whats the difference between a major key and minor and the whole pattern between minor and major. if you get that down then none of your melodies will sound out of key if you know about keys.

i can say that all you have to do is work on your melodies. find popular songs amongst newgrounds and find why the melody is so attracting to the ear. study it. then experiment with your own style.
second, the percussion was distorted sounding.
i am just trying to let you know what was not so great.
keep on trying and you will, no doubt, become better!

well first i got to say that the melody and background screech rhythm has to have some sort of key (e.g. a minor, G Major, F# Major) to even attract the ear. it has to have some sort of form, like ABAB meaning that you have one musical subject at A in one chord progression and B is a Different Chord progression then back to A but a little something changes. Though It doesn't necessarily need a form if you know what your doing. If you have all that down you can try and come up with some melodies that have some interest and technicality.

The percussion needs to have sort of style like rock, rap, jazz, techno, or a style that makes sense. it has to have its constants, well it is constant but it needs to be interesting instead of a snare and kick on the 1's the whole time. here is some advice. you know how there is 16 plotting points in 4 beats on fl? well on the 1, 5, 9, 13 put some sort of kick drum, then on the 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 or on all sixteen put a hi-hat sound, then on the 5, and 13 put a snare or nice reverbed clap and then bam! you got yourself a nice SIMPLE techno beat. experiment with that.

now personally i did not like that background noise, not the alien squeaks but that super reverbed click noise. when the velocity is high one those one notes it just does not mix well or isn't very nice on the ears. I've got to say the panning of the robotic voice was a nice idea.

All in all if you keep making music and learning from your mistakes or learning in general about how to make it appealing to the ear and all the styles you will, no doubt, become better. just do not quit. if you love music as much as i do you will continue.

p.s. listen to my music, love it or hate it, but i made all my music with FL studio and there is a lot you can do with it. Master it and songs that are Genuinely epic can come from there. Mine are not but there are songs i have heard that are truly masterpieces that come from this software.

it was pretty good till you brang your kick drum into play. it was a little too distorted and it killed the rest for me. it was hard to enjoy with grinding of the drum. but overall it was a good song.

well i liked the idea of the music but it sounds out of key when the melody and angelical comes in. just keep it in the scale and it will all sound pretty good. nothing wrong with drums they were good.
